The green and charitable way to dispose and recycle your Christmas Tree
Registration has now closed. Thank you so much to everyone who has registered their tree and made a donation to St Peter's Hospice. With your support, we will be able to continue to provide support and care to patients and their families when it matters most.
If you weren't able to register your tree in time, you can drop it to St Aidan’s allotment, Nicholas Lane, St George, BS5 8TY on the 9 and 10 January, between 9am – 3pm. You do not need to register your tree if you are dropping it to this location, but we ask you to bring cash to make a donation.
We are collecting and recycling real Christmas trees in Bristol on the 8 and 9 January 2021. Simply leave your tree outside your home by 8am on Friday 8 January and our team of volunteers and local business partners will collect it.
Please make sure ALL of the decorations are removed from your tree as otherwise the collection team will not be able to take it.
We have partnered with JustHelping, a third party organisation, who will administer our collections and plan the routes for our teams of volunteers. Therefore St Peter’s Hospice will receive 90% of the donation received plus gift aid. 10% of these monies will be given to local organisations who have helped with the service.
The collection will follow the latest Government guidelines. These guidelines are changing continually and our risk assessments will be updated to reflect this. Our collection teams will be provided with all the PPE kit needed and will work to the current guidelines. The safety of all is of paramount importance to us.
If the collection cannot take place due to Covid-19 restrictions or for any other unforeseen circumstances, donations received will be non-refundable. The collection will take place on the select dates unless stated otherwise.
VOLUNTEERS WE NEED YOU!
We’re recruiting helpers to join the collection team on the 8 and/or 9 January.
If you have a van or you’re good at navigating, willing to help lift some trees, and have a big smile we need to hear from you!
We will be doing a full safety briefing on the day to ensure everyone is safe.
If you're interested in helping please email firstname.lastname@example.org
